a (pretty) ordinary year | week 8

50 of 366 | A trip to the tropics house at the zoo.

51 of 366 | Saturday morning errands.

52 of 366 | Balloon.

53 of 366 | Another Monday, another sink bath. Details edition.

54 of 366 | I gave him my phone during a diaper change to encourage him to be still. And then the sun came out when it wasn’t supposed to come out at all today. So I let him continue with his changing table selfies for this shot.

55 of 366 | When the broom is your most favorite thing in the history of ever.

56 of 366 | While I was distracted by my youngest that’s been sick, the middle helped himself to a Popsicle. I asked him to wash his hands, which led to this. I just had to laugh and snap a couple of shots.

Up next is Cynthia Berning Photography!

a (pretty) ordinary year | week 7

43 of 366 | Apparently I’m not the only one who likes the smell of coffee to help with the whole waking up process. Also, I’ll have you know that I brewed this coffee about an hour before we had to be out the door for a playdate. Chaos happened. So I inevitably had to pour cold coffee in my to-go mug to take with me an hour and five minutes later. This is pretty much why we are no longer on time to anything.

44 of 366 | Lunch before IKEA.

45 of 366 | For some reason, we can never leave IKEA without a new buddy. And somehow on yesterday’s trip, we left with a polar bear the size of the middle.

46 of 366 | He is finally starting to work on using a trike. But like everything else, he has to do it his way. Which happens to be a lot of pedaling backwards when he does pedal.

47 of 366 | He was about to lose it because I wouldn’t let him crawl under my car again. I know, I’m such a mean mom.

48 of 366 | The littlest is learning how to be a stinker from the best.

49 of 366 | What I love most about the cul-de-sac that we live on is that you will always find the kids out there playing together.

Next up is the awesome Cynthia Berning Photography!

a (pretty) ordinary year | week 6

36 of 366 | It’s been a rough week with Tim working super long hours. He’s been leaving before the boys wake up and getting home after they are in bed. So for the sake of survival, the boys and I ordered pizza tonight. And the look on this dude’s face and his body language as we waited for the pizza pretty much says it all.

37 of 366 | A Saturday morning snack of raisins about ten minutes after breakfast. Naturally.

38 of 366 | Details.

39 of 366 | Sink bath with a toddler.

40 of 366 | Preschoolers kind of love hard. Oh, and the middle finally decided he would wear his monkey costume he picked out for Halloween 2014. That’s life with sensory issues for you.

41 of 366 | I took a shot like this almost a year ago. Those feet have graduated from baby feet to toddler feet. Also, he wasn’t much in the mood for a diaper change. iPhone image because I was super sick and I’m shocked I managed to take even one shot.

42 of 366 | I can pretty much count on this kid to find the light. And these are currently his favorite pants. He wants to wear them to the zoo one day to show the “pole bear.” Just a little fact that I want to write down so I’ll remember in the years to come.

Next up is Julia Francesca Photography!

a (pretty) ordinary year | week 5

29 of 366 | I was FINALLY successful in capturing his curls.

30 of 366 | A trip to the zoo.

31 of 366 | This shot pretty much sums up my middle. Standing on the table when he’s not supposed to. Sticking his head in the chandelier when he’s not supposed to. And because I already had my camera out, I took a shot of it while I told him to get down.

32 of 366 | I let him out of the stroller so he could run around and explore. And maybe so I could capture a little toddler in front of a big building.

33 of 366 | Waiting for his bus.

34 of 366 | Waiting for his bus.

35 of 366 | When you are a proud geeky family, this is a must.
